GriefShare is a 13 week video-educational program developed by Church Initiative.  It gives information about the grieving process within the framework of Biblical beliefs.  Participants in GriefShare obtain an understanding of grief firsthand from people interviewed by the video leaders.  The videos are down to earth and yet highly informative.  On-site discussion after viewing the videos gives the participants a chance to digest the information within their own context of grief.

GriefShare RESUMES: Two New Series of Classes in JANUARY!

 Ascension Lutheran Church’s GriefShare seminar/support group will be starting new cycles of group meetings on Sunday, January 6, 2013 and Wednesday, January 9, 2013.  The Sunday sessions will meet in the Grace Hall conference room from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.  The Wednesday sessions meet in the South Modular classroom from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. following the 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening worship service for Going Beyond.  GriefShare is a 13 week seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close.  Each session includes a video seminar and group discussion.  A GriefShare workbook assists you with note-taking, journaling, and grief study.  The videos feature top experts on grief recovery and real life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours.  Call the church office at 297-3095 to register for the class.  The only cost is $15 for the workbook and partial scholarships are available.  You are welcome to join at any session.  Grieving individuals from outside the Ascension congregation are welcome to attend.  Call Ken or Judy Nolen on evenings or weekends at 744-2123 with any questions.
